Relaxed
0JJ and I finally have had a chance to slow down and relax. Today was the first day in awhile that was not spent running errands or talking about the wedding. We did spend a little bit of today returning things that we didn’t use from a couple of stores and then we spent the night watching the Saints game.(Who Dat? 11-0??????)
On Friday we picked up her family from their hotel and gave them a tour of our city and future University. We then met my brother and sister-in-law for lunch at Ryan’s. Which was a really bad choice since my mother-in-law got sick later and could not attend the rehearsal dinner. I got back home about an hour before we had to go to the church and our house looked like a Louisiana Seafood House.

The rehearsal went well and Father Tommy was great as usual. We then went to the Canebrake Lake House for a dinner that my parents had arranged. The food was awesome! My brother had boiled a ton of shrimp and my brother-in-law had made some of the best gumbo I have ever tried. We also had ribs and other types of food that we had catered. We had a nice crowd, but unfortunately I don’t have any pictures from the event yet.
We left the dinner and went to one of our friend’s house and spent the night chatting and catching up. The ongoing joke was that we were all quiet because there was nobody to talk about since we were all there. There were about 13 of us who were able to get together. My friend Shannon had flown in from Japan and Clint had driven from Arkansas. It had been awhile since I had seen them and it was great to catch up.

Jason and Jennifer were kind enough to let us use their house and even had bought a propane heater to keep everyone warm. All in all it was a great night.
I hope to have some wedding photos soon. I really hope that our photographer did a good job. I think that his shots outside before the wedding are going to be really great!~
Happy Thanksgiving
2We had an early lunch with the Mississippi family and then with the help of my brother Hall we drove to Jackson in two cars to pick up Jaeyoun’s family. We checked them in to their hotel and then brought them back to my parent’s house for their first American Thanksgiving Dinner(Well, truthfully leftovers!) They loved the turkey and dressing! We exchanged some gifts and my brother-in-law surprised me with a case of Soju! JJ’s mother made purses for my mother and grandmother. My mother got JJ’s mom a Mississippi Snowball, a pearl cluster.I took a ton a pics!~ Tomorrow is the rehearsal dinner and another day of errand running!

Thanksgiving, a Wedding, and Random Paris
3So, our wedding is Saturday night. We have spent the last four days running all over Hattiesburg. Tonight, we met with our photographer David, who is awesome by the way. He made us both feel very comfortable and at peace with our decision to use him for our wedding. We spent most of the day trying to find clothes to wear for the rehearsal dinner and at the last minute I realized that I had no dress shoes and Jaeyoun needed a cardigan, so we had to go back to the mall! We will get up in the morning and help my mother cook, have Thanksgiving dinner and then drive to the Jackson airport to pick up Jaeyoun’s mother, father, sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. We will then come back to our house for dessert and coffee. Jaeyoun and I will also open some of our wedding presents when everyone is together. We have been averaging about 1-2 a day and have a bunch to open~!!~
I also am working on a speech that I am going to give at the rehersal dinner. I want to do it in both Korean and English, so I am having Jaeyoun proof my Korean. It would probably be more authentic if I just tried to wing it, but I really want them to be able to understand me.
We still have not figured out what we are going to do with her parents on Friday. We really don’t have enough time to go anywhere and there is really not much for them to see here in Hattiesburg.
I still have tons of Paris photos to process and upload. Here are few of my favorites from our day at the Muse de Orsay.

Engagement Photos
9We have been putting this off forever. We needed to get a photo of us for the local papers back home in Mississippi. We are still trying to figure out which shot to use. I was also using the 10 second timer. It took us forever to take all the photos. We set up on a bench at the top of a hill and it seemed like everyone and their mother wanted to walk in front of the camera. I think these came out okay, but I could probably process them a little better.

Been wanting to try this shot since I first saw it done.
We have hit the real count down now. We have 27 days until we leave for Paris. Everything is almost ready for our trip. We have about 10 more boxes that we need to get shipped. We also need to clear our the rest of furniture. I have already donated a bunch of books to the school and still have some more that I need to get rid of. We need to take care of some financial matters as well. We still need to send more money home and get some Euros as well. The rate has been dropping and we are happy, but we are still only going to send enough money home for the next couple of months. I also need to go apply for my pension refund. My goal is to have everything taken care of before my last week. I really want to be able to relax and just go to school. That only gives us about 3 weeks to get everything done.
With only 3 weekends left we really don’t have that much time to socialize either. I have plans on Saturday to head to the Suwon festival at Hwasung. I also have planned to meet up with some friends for the next few weekends as well. JJ still needs to see some family before we leave, so that basically leaves us with no more free weekends. I am chomping at the bits to get home and can’t believe that it is almost time.
