Korea 2011
0I am just now getting over the jet lag that came with the trip back to the states. JJ and I both really enjoyed our trip and had a blast both in Jeju and Seoul. I will be posting photos over the next few days and judging by the amount of food photographs that I took, we spent most of our time eating. I am planning on working on the rest of the photos over the weekend because school starts on Wednesday.
Korean Cookout
1
To get in the spirit of our upcoming trip to Korea, we had a Korea barbeque last night. One of our good friends is quite the cook, and he did all of the cooking. Since it has been awahile since we have hosted one of these parties, when we return from Korea, it will be our turn to cook.
I am getting excited about all the Korean meals that JJ and I are going to be able to enjoy in Korea. I have been missing the multitude of side dishes that are served with meals in Korea. We really do not have a problem obtaining Korean cuts of beef, but getting good side dishes has been a problem.
Jaemon is one of the reasons that my Korean has improved a bit over the last few months. Jaemon is usually the one that interrupts me when I am telling a story in English and implores me to continue in Korean. His English is very good, and he only asks so that I get more practice in Korean. I have made some improvement, but the real test will be in a couple of weeks when I am surrounded by family that speaks little English. I have been brushing up on a few key phrases that I know will be uttered by father in law and can only hope that I will have the correct responses.
Hattiesburg Walmart – Korean Food
2We have found this ramyeon at the Asian market in Hattiesburg, but have never seen it carried at Walmart. Does Walmart have a new Korean employee? Maybe someone requested it. There was only half a box left when we spotted it, and we took care of most of that. Our cashier even questioned us about it. She must have been a huge ramyeon fan and wanted to try it. I am going to have to start requesting them to carry other Korean items.
Photo Post
1Life has been a blur since my last post. Once things settle down, I will have to recap the last month or so. Here are a few photos from the past few weeks. GRE is on Tuesday. Once the test is over, I hope that I will have a little bit more free time. I am pretty serious about checking my Google Reader and I actually have 400 unread posts so you know that I have been busy.(Or follow to many blogs)

JJ has been cooking it up!
