Eiffel Tower at Night
3I had accidentally left my Gorilla Pod in our hotel room, so had to make do with using my camera bag as a support. I also left my UV filter, so was left with lots of green ghosts. I was hoping that these would be so much better. JJ and I spent our next to the last night at the tower walking around. There were so many salesmen that it was hard to get a good shot with my camera on the ground. The weather was great although chilly. There were hundreds of tourists all trying to get their best shot of the tower. This was another time that JJ and I just looked at each other and laughed at the thought of us in Paris.

I still have a ton of photos to go through. I will probably not get to all of them until well into the new year. I am also on the look-out for a decent web gallery to display my photos in. I still use Flickr but would like to use something that makes them a part of the blog as well. I haven’t looked that hard and will probably get to it when things calm down a bit more. JJ and I are just now trying to settle in and get our things organized. We have a ton of thank-you notes to write for all the wedding gifts we received(Oh Yeah!) and still have to pay off some of our wedding vendors(Oh No!). I am still trying to come up with some good photographs of our wedding without having to wait on our photographer.
New Life New Family
0I took these the other day while everyone else was out shopping. Joe is a long time friend of mine who married my sister this past July. I wasn’t able to come to the wedding and had never met his son Joey before. Joey is an absolute delight and a very polite child. It was still strange to come back home to new family members but we are all adjusting fairly well. We taught Joey and my other nephew to say hello in Korean. I wish I had video of them running around saying hello to all of JJ’s family members at the wedding.
I am still trying to round up some wedding photographs to post. I know that my wedding photographer will be at least 2-3 weeks before he gets finished processing our wedding.

A few from Versailles
4JJ and I woke up early on our next to last day and caught the RER B to Versailles. The weather was chilly but not too cold. We stopped and had coffee before making our way to the palace. This was one of those days that we just looked at each other and couldn’t believe that we were in Paris. We spent most of the day here. I am still processing most of the shots but here are a few of my favorites.

JJ made a friend that wanted to play with her on the steps of the palace
Relaxed
0JJ and I finally have had a chance to slow down and relax. Today was the first day in awhile that was not spent running errands or talking about the wedding. We did spend a little bit of today returning things that we didn’t use from a couple of stores and then we spent the night watching the Saints game.(Who Dat? 11-0??????)
On Friday we picked up her family from their hotel and gave them a tour of our city and future University. We then met my brother and sister-in-law for lunch at Ryan’s. Which was a really bad choice since my mother-in-law got sick later and could not attend the rehearsal dinner. I got back home about an hour before we had to go to the church and our house looked like a Louisiana Seafood House.

The rehearsal went well and Father Tommy was great as usual. We then went to the Canebrake Lake House for a dinner that my parents had arranged. The food was awesome! My brother had boiled a ton of shrimp and my brother-in-law had made some of the best gumbo I have ever tried. We also had ribs and other types of food that we had catered. We had a nice crowd, but unfortunately I don’t have any pictures from the event yet.
We left the dinner and went to one of our friend’s house and spent the night chatting and catching up. The ongoing joke was that we were all quiet because there was nobody to talk about since we were all there. There were about 13 of us who were able to get together. My friend Shannon had flown in from Japan and Clint had driven from Arkansas. It had been awhile since I had seen them and it was great to catch up.

Jason and Jennifer were kind enough to let us use their house and even had bought a propane heater to keep everyone warm. All in all it was a great night.
I hope to have some wedding photos soon. I really hope that our photographer did a good job. I think that his shots outside before the wedding are going to be really great!~
